Winners of BBA 2021 Announced!

It took much longer than we originally anticipated, but we are thrilled to announce the winners of the Bucks Book Award 2021!

The winner of the Children’s Book Prize is ‘Top Marks for Murder’ by Robin Stevens

Robin Stevens is a BBA favourite, who won the first ever BBA in 2019 with ‘Death in the Spotlight’. Robin’s books featuring the quirky detective duo of Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong have an instant appeal to all students and is a firm favourite at the boys school where I work as Librarian (when I’m not wearing my BBA hat!)

The winner of The Sue Harris YA Prize is ‘One of Us is Next’  by Karen M. McManus whose book ‘Two Can Keep a Secret’ came second last year. However, 2021 is obviously Karen’s year and this follow-up to ‘One of Us is Lying’ was voted as the YA book of the year by Buckinghamshire students in both KS3 and KS4!
